Hi Monica, I am still feeling and learning as I think about the wonderful
conference that you organized. This is what I sent to ASGPP newsletter.

maravilloso congreso que organizaste. Esto es lo que envié al boletín de

At the "Light Finds the Way" Third International Sociodrama Conference,
Patagonia, Argentina, Sept. 2-6 2010, Jeanne Burger, TEP, USA, and Nevzat
Muhtar, TEP, Turkey presented a sociodrama workshop on Domestic Violence
Across Cultures. A sociodrama was created of a violent family, including
neighbors, police, children and even a dog to explore how each involved
person moves across the trauma triangle to experience each role of victim,
perpetrator and witness. The very international group worked together with
creativity and sensitivity to explore how each role could benefit from
awareness and self-accountability.

En el Tercer Congreso Internacional de Sociodrama, “La luz encuentra el
camino” en Patagonia, Argentina, del 2 al 6 de septiembre del 2010, Jeanne
Burger, TEP, EEUU, Y Nevzat Muhtar, TEP, Turquía, presentaron un taller de
sociodrama sobre Violencia Doméstica en Diversas Culturas. Se creó un
sociodrama de una familia violenta, incluyendo vecinos, la policía, niños
e incluso un perro para explorar cómo cada persona involucrada se mueve a
través del triángulo del trauma para experimentar cada rol, de víctima,
victimario y testigo. El grupo internacional trabajó junto con
creatividad y sensibilidad para explorar cómo cada rol podía beneficiar de
la toma de conciencia y de la propia responsabilidad.

"The Light Finds the Way", Third International Sociodrama Conference,
Patagonia, Argentina, Sept. 2-6 2010
Monica Zuretti creted and organized this conference "with the whales of
Patagonia" following the First International Sociodrama Conference on a
Portuguese beach near Lisbon in 2006 and the Second International
Sociodrama Conference on a ship from Stockholm to Helsinki in 2008. A
special treat for the 60 or so attendees from all over the world was to
see dozens of "Right" whales and their calves in protected waters on the
Patagonian Valdes peninsula, off the coast of Argentina. From the deserted
beaches and on our boat trips in the cove waters, we could almost touch
the massive and graceful whales as they displayed their tails, blowing and
breathing through their air holes on the tops of their heads while they
nursed and cared for their babies. Their lives seemed profound and simple
in their purpose as they generously allowed our presence in their teritory
and we observed the communication and the healthy group energy of the
whales of Pategonia. Zerka Moreno made a skyped phonecall at the opening
of the conference. Her words, "Say Yes to the whales" became a theme for
the conference. Each participant seemed to find their own important
message from the presence of these magnificent creatures. At the post
conference, Monica Zuretti led us in psychodramas that used these whale
encounters and messages in a way that was similar to the methodology of
equine therapy with horses.

Sociodrama, en Patagonia, Argentina, del 2 al 6 de septiembre de 2010.
Mónica Zuretti creó y organizó este congreso “con las ballenas de
Patagonia” después del Primer Congreso Internacional de Sociodrama en una
playa portuguesa cerca de Lisboa en 2006 y el Segundo Congreso
Internacional de Sociodrama en un barco desde Estocolmo a Helsinki en 2008
Un manjar especial para unos 60 participantes de todo el mundo fue ver
docenas de ballenas francas y sus ballenatos en aguas protegidas en la
Península Valdés de Patagonia, en las costas de Argentina. Desde las
playas desiertas y en nuestros viajes en barco, podías casi tocar a las
enormes y estilizadas ballenas mientras mostraban sus colas, sus
respiraciones a través sus espiráculos mientras amamantaban y cuidaban a
sus bebés. Sus vidas son aparentemente profundas y simples en su
propósito mientras generosamente permiten nuestra presencia en su
territorio y observamos la comunicación y la saludable energía grupal de

The conference was full and meaningful. We began with a warm welcome from
Monica Zuretti, the connection with Zerka T. Moreno via skype, an
interesting warm-up by Rene Marineau who asked us to pair with someone
from another country and share our stereotypical or personal prejudices of
that country. Many enlightening encounters occurred. There was a panel
formed by Rene Marineau, Monica Zuretti and Marcia Karp to talk about
memories of Moreno and sociodrama. Rene presented an insightful history of
sociodrama
During the next few days we had a multitude of workshops, some in Spanish
and some in English. There was a wonderful sociodrama for about 40 persons
called Jonah inside the Whale’s Belly by Luisa Giannim of Italy.

El congreso fue completo y pertinente. Empezamos con una calurosa
bienvenida de Mónica Zuretti en conección con Zerka T. Moreno via Skype,
un calentamiento interesante de René Marineau que nos pidió que
eligiéramos alguien de otro país y que compartiéramos nuestros prejuicios
estereotípicos o personales con ese país. Sucedieron muchos encuentros
esclarecedores. El panel estaba formado por René Marineau, Mónica Zuretti
y Marcia Karp, para hablar sobre los recuerdos de Moreno y el sociodrama.
René presentó una reflexiva historia del sociodrama.
Durante los siguientes días hubo una multitud de talleres, algunos en
castellano y otros en inglés. Hubo un sociodrama maravilloso para unas 40
personas llamado Jonás en el Vientre de la Ballena, dado por Luisa Gianni

Orpheus and Dionysus – The Impossible Harmony was presented by Dr. Gabi
Tarashoeva from Bulgaria; Re-discovery of Healing Sufi Stories, by Inci
Doganer from Turkey and Creating New Communities through Playback Theatre
for Refuge/Asylum Seekers by Nike Brandt Poulsen from Denmark. Elaine
Sachanof, USA, presented about her hospital psychodrama groups. Börge
Kristoffersen from Norway and Monica Westberg from Sweden presented a
conflict resolution model.
Diane Knoll, an American who has studied the whales for her PH.D. On"
Mystical Experiences with Whales", led us in a beautiful and personal
meditation.

We danced, we dined on local seafood, we were led in sunrise meditation
and song and we learned about one another and sociodrama. We were able to
communicate by internet and skype with friends at conferences in Brazil
and Portugal. we were a community led by the whales of Patagonia to find
the light.

Orfeo y Dionisio – La Armonía Imposible fue presentada por la Dra. Gabi
Tarashoeva de Bulgaria; Re-descubriendo las Sanadoras Historias Sufi, por
Inci Doganer de Turquía y Creando Nuevas comunidades a través del Playback
Theatre para aquellos que buscan Refugio/Asilo por Nike Brandt Poulsen de
Dinamarca. Elaine Sachnof de EEUU presentó un trabajo sobre sus grupos de
psicodrama del hospital. Börge Dristoffersen de Noruega y Mónica Westberg
de Suecia presentaron un modelo de conflicto y resolución.
Diane Knoll, una estadounidense que ha estudiado las ballenas para su
thesis sobre “Experiencias místicas con las Ballenas”, nos guió a través
de una bella meditación personal.

Bailamos, comimos comida local con mariscos, fuimos guiados en una
meditación a la salida del sol y una canción y aprendimos unos de los
otros y sobre sociodrama. Pudimos comunicarnos por internet y skype con
amigos en Brazil y Portugal. Fuimos una comunidad llevada por las
ballenas de Patagonia buscando la luz.
